Sasobha Scrubs & Medical Uniforms began during a time when the world was facing one of its biggest health challenges. In 2020, at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, we started as a small home-based venture, initially producing face masks to support those on the front-lines.

What followed was a powerful realization: there was a greater need for high-quality, reliable, and comfortable uniforms for healthcare professionals. With that mission in mind, Sasobha began its journey—one that continues to grow with every stitch and every shift served.

💡 Behind the Brand

Mrs. Dulmini Samarakoon, the founder of Sasobha, brings a wealth of industry knowledge from her time at Brandix, one of Sri Lanka’s premier apparel companies. Her years of experience in the apparel sector gave her the perfect foundation to create a brand that blends technical excellence with compassion for those who wear our products every day.

Her vision was simple yet impactful: to design medical wear that delivers on comfort, confidence, and long-lasting quality—without compromise.

Rather than following mass-production models, we’ve chosen to grow from the ground up—literally. Sasobha’s products are carefully crafted by a group of skilled women from our own local community. These women, many of whom had limited income opportunities before, now contribute their expertise to produce garments that meet professional standards while supporting their families and futures.

Through this model, we’ve built more than a business—we’ve nurtured a sense of empowerment, ownership, and pride right here in our neighborhood.
